Groups and Regular Activities

Cuddington is a very active parish and there are opportunities to get involved in many ways.  There are Home Groups, two specific Youth Groups, a Toddler Singing Group, the Banner Group, Mum’s Breakfast Group, Bellringing and various other ways in which the church and wider community come together.

See the sections below for more information.

Home Groups

To supplement the weekly Christian worship there are some three Home Groups, which meet normally on a fortnightly basis for fellowship, bible study and prayer.  These are designed to reach people  at different stages of their Christian journey, so newcomers are welcome to join whichever group most serves their needs. Please click here for information on the various groups and contact details.

Toddler Singing Group

The Toddler Singing Group takes place every Friday (including during the school holidays) in church at 10.00am.  Despite our name we are open to more than just toddlers; we also enjoy the company of many mums, nannies, grandmas and childminders.  We have seen babies as young as 5 days old and children on the edge of starting school.
We sing a collection of well-known nursery rhymes and songs for about 30 minutes.  This is followed by a short picture book story and then a time of free play with refreshments (water or juice for the children, coffee and tea for the adults).  There is usually a home-made cake and  biscuits.  No charge is made for this service but if you wish to make a 50p donation towards refreshments this is always acceptable.

All are most welcome – please just come along when you can.  For more information please contact Christine Jackson – christine.jackson@live.co.uk

Banner Group

This group has been in operation since 2010, when it created a banner to celebrate Christmas.  Since then it has produced banners for Easter, Pentecost (pictured) and Harvest which hang in St Nicholas during the relevant Church seasons.

It has also made a Dove banner, to represent Peace, which hangs over the Chancel steps. We are currently working on one to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Anyone wishing to join the group should contact Angela Sanderson at asanderson@waitrose.com

Mum’s Breakfast Club

This group meets three or four times a year, usually on a Saturday morning.

Please contact Sonia Storey if you are interested in joining or helping with this group. – sonia.storey1@btinternet.com
