Exercise Class 60+

Gentle Exercise 60+

The Spring Course starts on Thursday 11 January 2018 in The Bernard Hall: 10 - 11am.

There has been an exercise class at this time in The Bernard Hall for getting on for a quarter of a century, since the days when Penny Odhams was the tutor.

We should welcome two or three more members to join us to keep the course flourishing.  It is a friendly group with an amiable and helpful tutor, Lynda.

The course name may have morphed into ‘Fun Fitness for the over Fifties’.

New Memory Support Service for Buckinghamshire

If you are concerned about your memory, the earlier you seek help the better as there may be support or treatment available that can help you.

There are many different things that can cause memory problems but sometimes it can be an early sign of dementia.

This new service helps you to take control of your situation by offering a single point of contact for:

  • Advice and support through memory screening and diagnosis
  • A listening ear and practical support afterwards

Healthwatch Bucks

Heathwatch Bucks is the new and latest official local organisation set up to represent us as patients or clients or consumers (or however we are described). It is the successor to LINks and through several changes from the Community Health Councils of the last century.

The management of Health and Social care is being devolved more to local organisations – for example, the Clinical Commissioning Groups of the NHS and the Health and Wellbeing Boards of the County Council. So Healthwatch Bucks might be useful.
