Jeremy Galpin, Fête Committee Chairman, writes:

I am delighted to report that Cuddington Wild West Fête has continued the success from last year.  Once again we were blessed with beautiful weather and the village seemed to be busier than ever, with everyone enjoying a wonderful day out.

I was especially pleased to announce that our very own centenarian Freda Scarlett was to open our Fête this year on her 100th birthday and to have such a large crowd singing “Happy Birrhday” to her was a great thrill.

Complementing our traditional stalls and tombolas were themed stalls including a Shooting Gallery which proved very popular.

Entertainment was again provided by Cuddington & Dinton School, Cuddington Youth Drama and the Haddenham Hoofers and enjoyed by all.

The day was once again masterfully controlled by our incomparable MC Mike Cottman, the auction expertly gavelled by Chris Blumer and our Grand Draw ticket sales reached an all-time record of £1,050.

Our gross takings before expenses and costs of £11,828 exceeded last year by £300, which means we once again have a large pot to distribute to good causes within the village at the Fête AGM, which this year will be on Wednesday 8th October.
